At BJ’s Paws Spa, our mission is to bring out wagging tails and happy dances in every pet we care for. We believe in compassion over convenience, quality over quantity, and a calm, safe environment where every animal feels valued and loved.
Quality Over Quantity
At BJ’s Paws Spa, we prioritize personalized care. We only multitask with pets from the same family, ensuring each animal receives undivided attention. Our goal is to work with your pet, not against them, at a pace that respects their comfort and emotional well-being.
Safe, Calm Environment
We are committed to providing a stress-free and secure grooming experience. We do not push pets beyond their limits. Each visit is documented to understand your pet’s unique needs and ensure consistency in care.
One-on-One Grooming
Our salon operates on a one-on-one model. This allows us to focus entirely on each pet, giving them the time and attention they deserve.

We offer a wide range of grooming services including:
Standard breed-specific cuts
General shave downs
Creative grooming options like nail polish and safe coloring
Please Note: We do not shave double-coated breeds unless medically necessary and prescribed by a veterinarian.
Aggression & Abuse: Aggressive behavior from pets or pet parents will not be tolerated. We enforce a strict No Abuse policy. If we witness or experience hostile behavior, we reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service permanently.
Safety First: If a grooming session becomes unsafe for the groomer or pet, the appointment will be halted. The full fee will still apply. It is the client’s responsibility to disclose behavioral issues ahead of time.
Behavioral Challenges: We cannot guarantee that every service will be completed, especially with untrained or anxious pets. We will always try our best and recommend professional training if needed. Repeated neglect of our advice may result in discontinued service.
Return Visits: If a pet reaches their stress threshold, we may request a follow-up visit to complete the grooming. A behavioral handling fee may be added.
Skin & Coat Conditions:
We accept non-contagious conditions. Pets with parasites, fleas, or worms will be sent home immediately. A $35 fee will be applied for disinfecting the salon if fleas or ticks are discovered.
Kenneling:
We offer both kennel and free-roam options based on your pet’s temperament. Please be honest about their behavior with others.
Anal Glands:
We do not express anal glands. Please consult your veterinarian.
Ear Plucking:
Done only upon request. If ears are matted, we will refer you to a vet.
De-matting:
We do not de-matt an entire coat. For extreme cases, we require a signed release form. Without this, service will be declined. Our motto is Humanity Over Vanity.
Veterinary Referrals:
Any injuries, hematomas, or severely matted areas—especially ears and tails—will be referred to a veterinarian.
Vaccinations:
Proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination is required for all services.
Senior Pets:
We do not accept pets over 12 years of age unless they’ve been lifelong clients. For their safety, we encourage continuity of care with familiar groomers or veterinary assistance if needed.
Hours of Operation: Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Closed on all statutory holidays.
By Appointment Only: Same-day appointments may be possible—call ahead to check availability. If no pets are scheduled, we may not be in the salon.
Booking Methods: Online at www.bjspawsspa.com or call 249-591-2272. We do not book appointments by text.
Deposits: A 50% deposit is required to confirm your appointment. You have 48 hours to submit the deposit. Failure to do so may result in cancellation.
Cancellations: Requires 48-hour notice to avoid charges. Exceptions may be made for emergencies or inclement weather at the groomer’s discretion.
No-Shows: Clients who do not arrive or fail to cancel will be charged the full grooming fee. We reserve the right to deny future appointments in these cases.
Drop-Off: Please arrive 5–10 minutes early. If you’re in a rush and can’t communicate properly, we may need to reschedule. Clear instructions must be provided by the person dropping off the pet. Every client must have a leash or be in a carry on.
Pick-Up: Pets must be picked up within 20 minutes of our call/text. A $1/min late fee applies after this window.
Grooming Area: Please do not interrupt grooming sessions. Knocking or entering can distract the pet and groomer, increasing risk. Unnecessary interruptions may incur additional charges or result in service termination.
Bathroom Breaks: Please walk your pet prior to the appointment. If your pet relieves themselves at drop-off or pick-up, it is your responsibility to clean up.
